Just passing through and had a craving for my favorite sandwich, the Slim Jim. It was great as always and I'm glad the Slim Jim doesn't change from one Shoney's to the next. I do miss the hand-breaded onion rings, though. The service here was also great. Our server seemed to be the only one taking care of everyone during lunch even though it wasn't super busy. Lots of locals as everyone seemed to be on a first name basis. I took a look at the buffet and everything looked fresh and hot where it needed to be hot and cold where it needed to be cold. I'd offer the only real negative was the condition of the store. It wasn't dirty but it was clearly worn down and in desperate need of some updates/repairs. Also, not sure what's happening with Shoney's in general lately but they seem to be closing a lot of stores, which is disappointing because we love eating there, especially when we travel.
The food was fresh and hot and the manager on duty during the day was very nice and courteous. The restaurant and bathroom is very clean also. This is better than the Shoneys we have back home. Also, the waitress I think Kia is her name was very nice.
Just wanted to grab a fast bite, so I stopped in for the hot and cold breakfast bar. They had everything you could want including coffee for about $14 including tax. They are located right off I40 at the Knoxville Zoo exit
Ordered on line. Received a confirmation text when the order was received. My order was delivered and I was sent a text to let me know it was on the porch. Order was hot and very fresh and correct. Very please with the whole process and the food was good.
Always great service and great food. The food is fresh and hot. The fish, fried chicken and veggies are very good. The salad bar has a lot of options. Alexa took care of us both times we've been here and she's sweet as pie. We will continue to come back!! Thanks guys.
We came out here because we were craving grease and mac & cheese. I actually not been to a Shoney's since I was a kid and really didn't know they were still around. But since we were hungry but didn't want fast food and were going to eat somewhere else for dinner we decided to come here for a "snack" Don't know how fried chicken, gravy and mac & cheese can be called a snack but we did out best not to eat until we fell out...it was hard holding back. Our waitress was super friendly and awesome. The restroom was older but very clean. I can tell the place has been there for quite some time because the decor reminds me of something out of Columbo..but I like 70's decor so it's not a criticism... We left with full bellies, swimming in sweet tea and mac & cheese...
Love this place. Great service and friendly staff. Food is delicious and the buffet Barbie they bomb. I also love the fact that they have a delivery service offered Grubhub!
